Coach Puckett has taught 9th grade science at Brookwood since 1993 and has been the head swim/dive coach since 1994. He grew up in Dekalb County and graduated from Towers High School in 1982. He received a B.S. in Exercise Science from Georgia State in 1988 and later earned his M.Ed. in Science Education from University of Georgia in 1995. Coach Puckett has been an active member of the Georgia High School Swim Coaches Association (GHSSCA) and is currently serving as President.

Meredith Hill (Alfrey) - Assistant Swim Coach email contact
Meredith is a 2002 Brookwood graduate. She was part of the first Swim/Dive State Championship team in 2001 as well as the 2002 State Championship team. While on the team she lettered all 4 years, was a NISCA All-American for 3 years, and was one of the Team Captains in 2002. At the time of her graduation she was part of the Brookwood & State record holding 400 Free Relay team, as well as having top 10 Brookwood times in 200 IM, 100 Butterfly, and 100 Breaststroke. After graduation she swam at East Carolina University where she earned her degree in Early Childhood Education with a minor in English. She recently finished her Masters at Georgia State in Reading, Language, and Literacy. She has been teaching 2nd grade at Bethesda Elementary since 2006. Meredith has been involved in swimming most of her life. From elementary school until college she swam for either SwimAtlanta or Dynamo. During the summers she swam on the Cricket Hill neighborhood team and also coached there for 4 summers.

Sarah-Nicole Ackerman (Edgar) - Dive Coach email contact
Sarah-Nicole is a 2002 Brookwood graduate. She was part of the first Swim/Dive State Championship team in 2001 as well as the 2002 State Championship teams. Sarah-Nicole swam and dove for the Brookwood team her freshman year. Beginning her sophomore year she decided to focus on the diving only. She eventually became the Brookwood record holder for both 6 and 11 dive formats. Sarah-Nicole was hired by the County Booster club in 2008 to coach diving to the teams at the Mountain Park pool. Brookwood has been fortunate enough to have her as our dive coach for all of those years. Sarah-Nicole teaches Math at Peachtree Ridge High School.
