Chris Cicora - Head Coach

 The 2010-2011 season marked Coach Cicora’s 6th season leading the Brookwood program. With the Broncos, Coach Cicora has compiled a 120-36 dual record and has led 10 young men to state medals. Coach Cicora is a native of Elmira, NY, but moved to East, TN in 1993. While in TN, Coach Cicora made four state tournament appearances, and finished second in the state. After high school Coach Cicora wrestled for Div II Carson-Newman College. While at Carson-Newman,Coach Cicora earned a Bachelors degree in Physical Education & Exercise Science.Coach Cicora finished his Masters Degree program in 2007 from Walden University in Leadership and Administration. He was married in 2009 to his lovely wife Leah.

Adam Lesser - Assistant Coach

Entering his second year as an assistant with Brookwood, Coach Lesser is eager to share his passion and knowledge of the sport. Originally from East Troy, WI, Coach Lesser was a four time state qualifier in high school including two 4th place finishes. He attended Duke University where he received his BA in History and Markets and Management, was a 3x letter winner and earned a spot on the ACC honor roll recognizing student athlets in the Athletic Coast Conference.

Brian Welsch - Head Junior Varsity

Coach Welsch has served  five seasons with Brookwood Wrestling program. Coach Welsch wrestled for Shiloh high school under the leadership of Coach Steve Hassenger and Steve West. Coach Welsch attended UGA and earned his BS in Physical Education.

 Stephen Clayton - Assistant Coach 

 Coach Clayton is entering his first year with Brookwood Wrestling and is no stranger to the sport. He wrestled four years with the Collins Hill Eagles while placing second in the state in 2001. He has been an assistant coach at both South Gwinnett and Parkview before making his way to BHS. Coach Clayton brings a wealth of knowledge as a wrestler, coach, and an official. We are happy to have him onboard and look forward to his contributions.

James Ammons- Head 9th Grade & Youth Wrestling Coordinator 

The 2010-2011 season marks Coach Ammons 4th season with Brookwood Wrestling. Coach Ammons has worked with Cicora the past four seasons and recently took on the role of BHS USA Wrestling Coordinator. Coach Ammons is a passionate teacher and coach and does a great job developing young men. He wrestled at Lakeside High School under Coach Shawn Cavanaugh and was a 2x state qualifier. Coach Ammons graduated from the University of Georgia and received his B.S. in Education while wrestling with the UGA Club team. Recently Coach Ammons was accepted to Graduate School and will begin working on his Masters summer 2011. James is married to his lovely wife Jessica.
