2008-2009 YOUTH WRESTLING (K-8th)
WHO: Participants in grades K - 8th, with or without experience can become members of the Brookwood Youth Wrestling Team.
WHEN: Practice begins November 4th, and wrestlers will meet every Tuesday and Thursday from 6:15pm-8:15pm. Parents please be prepared for a brief meeting in the Gold Gym at the start of practice on Nov 4th. The season officially ends after the Youth State Championships. Elementary School State is March 7, 2009. Middle School State March 14, 2009.
REGISTRATION: Parents can register students through the community school office. A registration form can be found on the Youth wrestling tab to the left, or you can call the community school directly to register 770-978-5064. The cost $135 per individual and $80 each additional sibling. Cost will include a uniform (singlet, shirt, and shorts) However, each wrestler must purchase their own USA wrestling card for competition, wrestling shoes, and headgear.
GOAL: Our goal is to promote interest in the Brookwood High School Wrestling program and teach our youth wrestlers how to embrace the values wrestling delivers. Not only will Brookwood youth wrestling improve each athlete’s physical abilities, but will also develop self discipline and self confidence. Brookwood Wrestling believes that through discipline, dedication, and desire wrestlers will become winners on and off the mat.
WHERE: Practices will be held in the Brookwood High School Wrestling Room. It is located above the Gold gymnasium.
