TAKEDOWN CLUB
The purpose of the Brookwood Takedown Booster Club is to help support and fund the Brookwood High School Wrestling Team and all related activities. Officers will work with the coaches in running the club. The purpose of the club is to raise money to fund and support all team activities. The club will raise funds through a variety of sources: team dues, hosting tournaments, and team fundraisers. Monies raised will be spent on the wrestling program. Every wrestler will be required to pay dues upon joining the team. The dues provide you with club membership. In addition to raising funds, the club will secure workers for team events scheduled at Brookwood.
Fund expenditures: Singlets, warmup tops, shorts, t-shirts, mat tape, mat cleaner, tournament entry fees, hotel rooms, banquet meal / awards, and other misc. required expenses. We will also work toward purchasing additional mats, electronic scoreboards, and funding out of state travel once our team is ready to compete at an elite level.
Brookwood Wrestling fees are $225 per wrestler which covers the above mentioned items. When dues are paid, each wrestler will receive their uniform package. Any wrestler that does not pay dues will not be given any of the above items, and will be required to pay for all expenses paid by the booster club (banquet, tournament entry fees, equipment).
Parents will be called upon to help work events hosted by Brookwood. Volunteers will be needed for the concession stand, hospitality room, and other areas during these events. Everyone does their part (coaches, wrestlers, managers, parents). If we get good volunteer participation, then the work of MANY will out way the large amounts to time spent by just a few.
