CONDUCTED BY: Camp will be led by Head Coach Chris Cicora and the Bronco Wrestling Team. The 2009-2010 season marked Coach Cicora’s 5th season leading the Brookwood program. With the Broncos, Cicora has compiled a 110-26 dual record and has led 10 young men to state medals. Cicora is a native of Elmira, NY, but moved to East TN in 1993. While in TN, Cicora compiled a high school record 131-14, made four state tournament appearances, and finished second in the state. After high school Coach Cicora wrestled for Div II power house Carson-Newman College.
CAMP PHILOSOPHY:
The Brookwood High school wrestling staff is dedicated to assisting wrestlers in their quest to improve their wrestling knowledge and skills. It is our mission to promote the sport of wrestling to competitors in our community. The camp will focus on the fundamentals of wrestling from all positions, mat strategy, work ethic, and life skills. We believe not only will wrestling develop self-confidence and self discipline, but also improve overall athletic abilities.
REGISTRATION: To register your child for wrestling camp please click on the link below, fill out the bottom portion of the flyer and send to the Brookwood Community School or call the community school at 770-978-5064.
ACCOMODATIONS: The camp will be held in the Brookwood High School Wrestling room. The Wrestling room is located above the gold gym.
INSURANCE & MEDICAL CARE: Participants are covered with a supplemental insurance policy through the community school.
EQUIPMENT: Participants must furnish their own wrestling shoes (Not mandatory). Shorts and long sleeve t-shirts are recommended.
